Shanar, I can assure you I am not a member of the Elect Robinson committee; I don’t even know Mr Robinson, but, when a candidate, running as an underdog* in a good-old-boy network, brings something up in a public forum like what Mr Robinson mentioned, I tend to think the worst.
*underdog…check out the contributions made to Sam Graves; every big developer and realtor in Chuck wants their man back in. Look what he did to Hughesville, his very own District 1 constituents, with rezoning the Jenkins property for Chaney, and then tell me you would trust Mr Graves to look out for the average Joe. This is why I’m voting Ken Robinson for Commissioner.
Since this thread has lasted much longer than I would have imagined, here is a link to the entire transcript in question…verbatim. http://kenrobinson2010.com/facebook/
I’ll let you decide if this was about $50 or about speaking the truth.
It looks like Vince is the one with very thin skin. I would suggest to Ken that he hold a $25,000.00 plate dinner and invite Vince to attend since he would consider it wrong to attend, do to his position, without paying the fee for attendance. If Ken needs more money for his campaign just raise the per-plate price and just make sure Vince is invited since he states that he is more than willing to attend candidates affairs as long as he pays for admittance. This could be the easiest way to get campaign funds without standing on the corner with a tin cup.
Shanar, I know Ken isn’t a god person, but I don’t think any commissioner candidate is. What I’m pretty sure he will do is stick up for his constituents and the citizens of CC and you can’t ask for more than that.
Shanar, good for you for learning english since you’re now a citzen of the US. I would suggest that you get a little help with your posts here since you’re really not communicating well and i’m sure you have interesting and valuable insights and comments.
We will be using it in a campaign ad recorded by Stephanie Komen, daughter of the late Susan G. Komen, whose foundation, named in her honor fights to find a cure for breast cancer. It may be a radio ad as well. Stephanie and I have worked together on various projects related to cancer research over the past ten years.
This should probably be its own thread but how could Charles County possibly not have been included in the State of Maryland BRAC website? This omission is inexcusable and beyond belief to me.
Under Regions, click on Southern Maryland and then Waldorf and you get this http://www.waldorfmaryland.com/ What a joke! No website would be better than this.
Someone needs to inform your opponent on the correct spelling of the word “fundraiser.” He has an ad in today’s Independent promoting his “Fund Raiser.” Typical.
Its not often that I’ll come to his defense, but in this case ‘fundraiser,’ ‘fund-raiser’ and ‘fund raiser’ are all correct spelling and uses of the word.
