What could it mean?  Is there a conspiracy of some sort?  Is Ken really the Manchurian Candidate?  You guys are really grasping at straws!

Silly you, no one said anything about a conspiracy. Maybe I should ask you who exactly are you addressing when you say “you guys”? I am the only person who asked what was meant by “we” and “us”, etc.

You see, if I’m having work done in my home and the contractor tells me “we need a copy of your house key so that we can finish up the work while you’re not home”, I’m going to find out exactly who all is going to have access to my keys. So as a voter, I wanted to know if KR was beholden to anyone, when he used “we” and “us”.

Thank you for your answer, KR.

Ken,

I can’t find the listing about the property taxes and had a few suggestions for you to consider. I don’t want to be viewed as being only “anti” anything that is proposed.

I agree that some property tax relief is appropriate for low income seniors. However, the need must be established. Here are some items for your consideration.

1. The property in question must be the primary residence.

2. ALL Owners should be over a certain age. (If not I could transfer title of my house to my mom and get a big reduction in property tax)

3. Develop a sliding scale of property tax reductions. The scale would coordintate income level with the amount of tax break. The lower the income, the higher the tax break. Set an income cutoff. $100,000 is just exceedingly too high. $100,000 of household income is around top 20% or 25% of all households. That level of income does not warrant a tax break.

Some statistics: about 8000 people a day turn 60 in the US now. The over 50 population is expected to grow by more than 20% in the next decade. The under 50 population is only expected to grow by 1% during that same time frame. Please consider this when enacting any new tax laws designed to give breaks to an ever increasing segment of the population.
