Dave Williams rose to the rank of CAPTAIN in the Sheriff’s Dept. because of his
professionalism,dedication,honesty and fairness as a police officer.

Jones, you never actually worked with Dave Williams and is simply spouting off/
regurgitating second hand rumors and nonsense. You’re beginning to sound like one
of those ‘angry’ “Tea Party” crack pots.

Dave Williams will be an excellent Sheriff.

Doc, you said “honesty” and “fairness”. Ask Mr. Williams about an investigation into a former FOP President (not Gibson) when he was in Internal Affairs. It was learned during the investigation that Williams used his own 12 year old daughter as the complainant. A charge was filed against the FOP Pres. for allegedly politicking on duty. A subsequent show cause order was filed in Circuit Court by the officer and the investigation was terminated by then Sheriff Davis. However, the damage was done and it cost Davis political points with the FOP. So there is your fair and honest Captain. Who drags there own kid into the abyss of politics at the CCSO??

Listen, You don’t have to be an FOP President to get Dave Williams on the attack.  Here is how he does it.  He decides what he wants the end results to be and then does everything he can to either manipulate facts and in many cases created evidence to use against a political enemy.  There are a lot of victims of Dave Williams and his unethical behavior out there.  I just hope it didn’t spill over into his police work.  I would hate to think that an innocent person is behind bars because Dave Williams set them up.  Once your integrity is called into question about things like this, it is real hard to think he wouldn’t cross the line that way too. Mark my words.  He has a short fuse and in the very near future he is going to come out attacking people instead of talking about issues.  So far all he has talked about is some of the appointments Coffey made.  No one cares about that.  But he won’t be able to control himself.  He won’t be able to stick to the issues like crime.  WATCH OUT CHARLES COUNTY.  THIS MAN HAS NO COMMON SENSE.  It is unfortunate that this will probably bring out a lot of his secrets too.  Some things I am sure his family will not find amusing.  Some things that show how he is ready and willing to cross the line to get what he wants.  And DOCHOLIDAY, you kn ow nothing about me or who I have worked with.  jsut like we can only take your word that you actually worked with him.  He didn’t get to the rank of Captain because of all the great things you say.  he got there because he was willing to do what O’Toole and Davis asked of him without question.  I trust you are not the fool you make yourself out to be by believeing that nonsense.  If you were not a target of his, good for you.

So what if the complainant was 12 years old. If a complaint is filed, it has to
be looked into. If it is shown to have no merit then it is dropped, as is what
appears to have happened here. Lets not try to blow things up and twist it
to support you argument.

Stop trying to dish dirt. And if you’re going to dish dirt, dish dirt on all
the candidates, not just the ones you personally dislike. Do you really think
that anyone believes that Coffey has never made a ‘blunder’ or screwed up an
investigation? Everyone has made mistakes.

You two would have more credibility if you didn’t come off as ‘SHILLS’.

The difference in what you say and what I say is that I am describing a real person.  You are describing fictional characters.  No scare tactics going on here.  Simply THE TRUTH.  I pray every night to the good Lord that he would not make the men and women of the Sheriff’s Office suffer by allowing Williams to be elected.  I didn’t know Dave gobbled up infants, but heck that is another reason not to support him in his bid.

Get real.  Only you have brought up illegal activity to express one’s feelings.  Just because you may have those thoughts does not mean others do.  With each of your posts you sound more and more like Williams…the end justify the means.  I suggest you think of other ways to express yourself other than illegal activity.  For me, I’ll stick with prayer and maybe a visit to the witch doctor.

I’m simply supporting Dave Williams for his bid to become Sheriff. Last time around I
supported Rex Coffey.

I don’t have anything personally against Coffey. I just feel that Dave Williams
could do a better job.

Mr. Williams said he is going to pick his command staff from the hard working men and women of the CCSO….....except Major, that will be Brian Ely. He says Mr. Ely is fiscally responsible and can run a budget. Check him out on MD Judiciary Case Search: Ely has a foreclosure and bankruptcy on his record. Crime is down 15%? Anybody can twist numbers to suit their agenda. I’m not saying
that this is what is going on in this case, but other Sheriff’s have been known
to become lets say ‘creative’ when it came to reporting crime statistics.

So Ely has had a Bankruptcy and a foreclosure in the past? Is this the ‘earth shattering’
information that Jones was referring to?

Maria, anyone with half a brain, and I’m assuming that you do have at least ‘half a brain’
knows that a major illness or injury could bankrupt ‘anyone’ and force them into foreclosure
as well. You seem to report this with such ‘GLEE’. When and if such a misfortune befalls
your family, lets see if you come here and report what has happened to ‘your’ family with
such ‘gleefulness’.

The only Sheriff who has been found to manipulate crime numbers was Davis. He used crime rates as opposed to crime numbers.  From what I understand, one of Coffey’s opponents is in charge of calculationg the crime numbers.  I can’t imagine an opponent would deliver numbers that are not factual especially if the helped the Sheriff’s cause. Now you want to put one of his right hand people in charge?  There was no illness, there was no misfortune, Eley filed for court protection because he couldn’t manage his own finances.  Stop making excuses.  Facts are facts.  The man you want to put in charge of millions and millions of dollars that belong to the citizens of Charles County has a long history of financial disaster.  Read the public records and you will see that this all didn’t happen at one time and nowhere does it mention illness as a factor (and there is a place for that on the records).  I can’t believe the citizens of St. Mary’s County are going to be too happy when they find out about this guys past.  This is just the tip of the iceberg.

How does he plan to do a better job reducing crime?  What are his plans to get through what people are calling gloom and doom for 2012 budgets?  Is he going to have Brian Eley guide him through these rough financial times?  Brian Eley has a prooven track record of bad financial decisions.  I want hear his PLATFORM!  I can only assume you know his platform since you praise him so.  I assume you are not doing this blindly, or are you?

Doc, actually I have 3/4 of a brain. Now, what “major illness” or “injury” did Mr. Ely have? Becuse I know for a fact that anyone (at the CCSO) who is injured or ill has a sick leave bank to continue getting paid through those trying times. They are also eligible for a “light duty” assignment, where they can do clerical work, answer telephones etc. until they are ready to come back to work (full duty). I reported this not for “glee” as you state, but as fact. Mr. Ely has apparently made some poor financial decisions in the past, and you want this man in charge of $33 million of taxpayer money? That was my only point. As for if some sort of catastrophe strikes my family, we are prepared. We have not overburdened ourselves with luxuries like expensive cars, or houses or clothing. Both of us have sick leave banks where they are not abused. So if some misfortune comes our way, we have a plan in place. But thank you for your concern. Also, if Mr Ely had used all of his sick leave during this mysterious major illness, there is a sick leave donation program at the CCSO.
