  • 2. · Unfortunately there is probably all too much truth in your comment Mr. DeGiorgi.

Shouldn't a housing needs assessment exist for all Charles County? If so, then I would think that those needs would already be defined for the many communities that comprise the county including Nanjemoy. If not, then why assess only Nanjemoy and not create a total needs assessment for the county that would be less costly as a whole rather than to conduct in parts.

I hope Mrs. Patterson received a formal invitation from Auctus, Inc. otherwise she may be missing in action again.

  • 3. · Yep - I got my tax bill - a $300 increase and for what?

The real estate values have DECREASED and the only county service we receive is snow removal, which is hit or miss at best. Sometimes my husband and a neighbor or two have to get out there with their tractors and blades and do it themselves!

What is the Commissioner's definition of "affordable housing"?

To some it may mean less than $250K and to others less than $150K...

    Does it mean rental units?

I have yet to see how the Commissioners define what it really means.

As "bob" said, why is Nanjemoy the only focus for "affordable housing" - shouldn't Waldorf be the primary focus, as it is the population "hub" of the county?

Sounds like a political ploy to me...
