Navy Warns of Loud Noise Sept. 9 through 30

Southern Maryland Online,

The U.S. Navy today issued a warning for residents of St. Mary’s, Calvert, and Dorchester counties advising that noise-generating test events are scheduled to take place from Sept. 9 through the 30th. During testing, an SH-60F Helicopter from NAS Patuxent River will conduct flights to assess the capability of a helicopter-mounted sound system during day and night environmental conditions. Although only one flight per day is anticipated, both day and night flights are required.
